- Prepare facts and supporting documents.
- Use the SEBON grievance form for a complaint or suggestion.
- Keep the confirmation number to check status.
The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) provides an official Investor Complaints grievance-registration facility. If a problem involves a broker, merchant banker or another securities-market intermediary, it is useful to understand the official route for submitting a factual complaint with supporting documents.
Prepare the facts first
Keep the date of the problem, the name of the institution or intermediary, transaction or reference details, correspondence, payment evidence and relevant statements. Write the complaint so that you can reasonably affirm that the information is fact-based.
Online grievance form
SEBON’s grievance page shows fields for full name, email, mobile number, complaint/grievance/suggestion and supporting documents where needed. The site also provides a facility to check complaint status using a confirmation number.
Separate loss from misconduct
A fall in market value or an investment loss alone does not establish that a rule was broken. Describe the specific service, disclosure, transaction or conduct at issue. Investment risk and intermediary conduct are different questions.
Use official contacts
SEBON publishes official grievance and contact channels. Because phone numbers and email details can change, it is safer to verify the latest contact details on the official grievance or contact page instead of relying on an old copied number.
This is not legal advice; it is a financial-literacy explanation of the general securities complaint workflow.
It helps move a securities-service complaint from social-media debate into an official evidence-based grievance channel.
